A drug dog, or detection drug dog or sniffer dog, is a dog that is trained to use its senses to detect illegal drugs. There are also sniffer dogs trained to detect other substances such as explosives, wildlife feces, currency, blood and contraband electronics such as illicit mobile phones.
Drug dogs primarily use their sense of smell to find the illegal object or substance.
