Discussions among jurors after the parties rest at trial in order to reach a verdict. Jury deliberations occur after the conclusion of a trial, once both the prosecution and the defense have rested and the judge has instructed the jury, and the jury has retired from the courtroom. Deliberations occur until a jury has reached a verdict or has determined that it cannot find sufficient agreement to reach a verdict according to its instructions.
